- Next/previous links on chapters
As in much technical documentation, e.g. Python library
documentation
- group related things (e.g. Hole's NT commentaries)
See (e.g.) Bellett or Darby pages for examples.
- change dictionary tiffs to pngs and
insert links (Les)
- Link to subchapters from Church History page (and in general) (Les)
The Church History page has an index of
chapters and sections, but only the chapters are links.
- link in .htm files
The script that created the author pages only included files
ending in .html. A few files end in .htm, so were
not included.
- Sort out charts in the Bible dictionary (Les)
- Sort out wrong encoding in the Bible dictionary
What's the problem? Characters in Windows charset?
- Investigate Darby/New7_96/FOULQUIER.html
- Fix Jonah chapter 1 in Synopsis
- Tidy up html (to remove negligible right margins, etc.)
- Bible reference links
Make all Bible references within articles into links to the
corresponding passage. For example, instead of John 3:16; 4:1,
have John 3: 16; 4:1
- guidelines for searching (Les)
- dictionary and bible references at top of search results
- add summary paragraphs on index pages
- Add indices
Include some of the index files that were on the CDs
- contact Rylands for whatever listings they can provide
Possibly unnecessary, since the listings are on the web.
- Restore end of Kelly's Isaiah
Pt 2
- address dodgy bullet points (e.g. in Hole's Assembly Principles)
Replace character codes for bullets with <ul> (unordered lists) if possible
- fix "funny characters" (>127)
Possibly a global replace into corresponding entity refs
- Add uplinks to magazines, hymns, various, church history
Not all articles have uplinks, since some sections didn't have
index pages when the uplinking was done.
- Split up large files into individual
chapters/articles/notes/letters etc.
For example, Wigram's
translation of the first book of psalms and his letters;
the hymns and Kelly's
eleven lectures on Job
- Move style into global stylesheets
- List file sizes next to links
- Make sure all L. M. Grant's writings are linked in from the front page
- Add a zip file to enable the whole site to be downloaded. Perhaps also zip files per author.
- Improve the design.
- Take further measures to stop blind mirroring of the entire site
