Having once learned that Prayer is a power, and the power ordained by God, we must doggedly set ourselves to use it, whether the experience is painful or pleasant, whether apparently successful or not. It is impossible for a saint — no matter what his experience has been — to keep right with God if he will not take the trouble to spend time alone with God. Anon.
