Psalm 84:7.
Strength for the journey upward,
To the realms of light and love;
God's strength, in the might of the Spirit,
Is my privilege to prove.
To leave the world and its shadows
In the distance far behind;
Where they grope in the blackness and darkness,
Who are lame and halt and blind.
To get nearer the home, where the music
Is heard thro' eternal day;
To get nearer the Father's presence,
Where His love beams bright alway.
Thus pants my longing spirit;
And Jesus shall bring me there;
Nor swollen my feet with the journey,
Nor my clothes the worse of the wear.
