Note for users of this electronic version:It has been necessary to establish a standard method of entry. This applies to complex multi-syllable words, especially names, some of which may, in certain versions of scripture, be shown with hyphens, apostrophes etc., as an aid to pronunciation. All such extras have been removed from the main headings for searching purposes, but the original entry in the Morrish dictionary has also been included in square brackets. Example: Name in 2 Kings 15: 29 is shown in one printing of scripture as "A'-bel-beth-ma'-a-chah." It is entered in this version as "Abelbethmaachah [A'bel-beth-ma'achah]." [A'bel-beth-ma'achah] is the 'Morrish' method of entry. |
